That’s What He Said Thursday #3

that's what he said thursday

Hosted by: Chapter Break
Description: Every Thursday join us by posting a favorite line from your book boyfriend to his heroine. The quote you choose does not have to be romantic – it can be anything spoken by a book boyfriend. Keep in mind these are direct quotes from dialogue in a book. It is NOT a physical description of a male protagonist or a paragraph of dialogue. It is a line spoken by our favorite heroes to their lucky ladies (whom we so wish we were!!!!!!).

This week’s selection: Noah Hutchins (Pushing the limits by Katie McGarry)

pushing the limitsSynopsis (from Goodreads):

No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with freaky scars on her arms. Even Echo can’t remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal.

But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo’s world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible.

Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she’ll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again.

Quote:

“I watched you battle against the worst memory of your life and I watched you win. Make no mistake, Echo. I battled right beside you. You need to find some trust in me… in us.”

Finally got around to reading this book a few days ago, and now I’m kicking myself for waiting this long! All my crazy high expectations were met, which rarely happens. Loved both Echo and Noah and got invested their respective storylines from the very first chapter. And with quotes like this, there was a healthy amount of swooning, too. 🙂
